Liva’s desire is to help believers mature in Christlikeness and succeed in their God-given calling by providing intentional and well-designed training opportunities.
Liva has served with Cru and Josiah Venture, combining leadership, educational and administrative work. For the past twenty years Liva has been teaching at Latvian Christian Academy and Latvian Bible Center in the areas of academic and practical theology. In 2008, she co-started Baltic Pastoral Institute to train pastors and church planters and served as its Dean of Academic Affairs until 2021. She has been involved in the revision of the modern Latvian translation of the Bible. Liva has also helped to launch M4 processes in several nations.
Liva holds two Master’s degrees in Theology from Portland Seminary and University of Latvia, as well as a Master’s degree in Philology and professional Master’s degree in Translation.
Currently Liva provides leadership to M4 Europe and is a Th.D. candidate at University of Latvia. She continues to contribute to several initiatives of the Union of Baptist Churches in Latvia.
